Lake Travis Soccer Coaching Staff and Trainers
Coach David Bammel is joining the Lake Travis staff this 2012 fall season working as the Head Boys Soccer Coach. He will also be working as the football coach for all kickers and the assistant football offensive coach for the Freshmen teams.
Before coming to Lake Travis, Coach Bammel worked at Katy Morton Ranch for 6 years; 3 of which acting as the Head Coach for the Boys Soccer team. Between 2010 and 2012, the Mavericks had 3 strong playoff appearances under Coach Bammel including a finish in the 2012 season in the State Finals game. The Mavericks finished the 2012 season ranked number 2 in the state and number 6 in the nation.
David and his wife Jessica have 1 daughter named Adyllie who is 1 year old.
Coach Robbie Coplin is entering his fourth year as the JV soccer coach and football wide receivers coach at Lake Travis High School.
Prior to his experience at LT, Coach Coplin coached JV Girls Soccer in Stephenville for 2 years where the Honeybees earned district championships both years. He also coached 9th grade football and aided Coach Carter and the Yellowjacket defense to a 13-1 record and a State Semi-Final appearance in 2005. In 2006 & 2007, the football team compiled a record of 20-4 and made two more quarterfinal appearances in the playoffs.
Prior to Stephenville, in 2004, Coach Coplin was the Head Football Coach at Parkers Chapel HS in El Dorado, Arkansas. From 1998-2003, Coach Coplin was an assistant for North Crowley HS in Fort Worth, where they won the 4A Division I State Championship in 2003.
Robbie and his wife Marla have 2 girls and 2 boys: Lillie, RJ, Lanie, & Raiden.
